A life-long resident of Conellsville, Carolyn is a self-taught artist who reinforces her talents with classes and workshops. She has studied with Leslie Fronz, Patrick Daugherty, Herb Olds and other local and nationally known artists and has attended classes and workshops at Touchstone Center for Crafts and Greensburg Art Club.
Carolyn enjoys painting portraits and caricatures and has won awards at local juried art shows for her work. She teaches beginning drawing and painting at her studio. In addition, she volunteers with the Candlelighters, a Children's Hospital support group which provides portraits to cancer patients.
In her spare time, Carolyn sketches and paints historical
sites throughout the area. She is a docent at Westmoreland Museum
of American Art and a member of the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society.
