Greensburg Art Club Logo Note Card Artists

Susan Laansma Pollins, a native of Detroit, Michigan, received her BS degree as a painting major from the College of Architecture and Design, University of Michigan. She taught art in the Southfield Public Schools prior to moving to Greensburg.

A frequent juror of exhibits, lecturer, and demonstrator, Susan has taught for Seton Hill College, Westmoreland County Community College Continuing Education Programs, Westmoreland Museum of American Art, the Pennsylvania Council of Arts, as well as many personal workshops.

Combining technique in conjunction with mental planning and philosophical vision in her instructional approach, Susan continues to provide an innovative course of study for Greensburg Art Club classes. Co-owner of Greensburg Art Supply for eighteen years, Susan now works out of her Walnut Hill Studio. She is an active member, open studio monitor, and past officer of the Greensburg Art Club, past president of the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society, and an elected signature member of the PA Society of Watercolor Painters. In addition, she serves as a docent at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art, depicted in the note card series. Susan has exhibited extensively in national and regional shows and her work can be found in numerous private and corporate collections.
