Alan Reese Born and raised in the Homestead area, Alan became interested in the fine arts at an early age. A collection of sketches completed during his years in public school and during service in the Navy were carefully preserved by his family and provide a visual record of his early work. He graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education. During his 32 years of employment at Westinghouse Electric in East Pittsburgh, Alan worked as a draftsman, graphic artist, and technical illustrator.

Alan has hung his award-winning work in solo exhibits and numerous juried art shows. His style is realistically expressive, and although he enjoys serigraphy, gouache, watercolors, and pencil, his preferred media is pen and ink.
